We have something in common: weddings. My particular interest lies in destination weddings and because you’re reading this, I suspect they do for you, too. There’s just something appealing about these simple yet elegant wedding ceremonies set in exotic, beautiful and adventurous locations!
Every wedding is beautiful but if you ask any bride what made their day phenomenally special, they’ll more than likely answer, “My friends and family were there to share it with me.”

My name is Megan McWhinnie-Crouse and I started Weddings By Oceans so that I could help Beachside Brides have the destination wedding of their dreams on their individual budget.
I lend our brides over 25 years experience in the travel industry to help our couples, their friends and family lower costs, coordinate travel plans and suggest the best quality hotels and resorts. This way every important person in the bride and groom’s lives can be there and celebrate their exchange in a tropical paradise.
Talking weddings is just a bonus for me! That’s why I do it for free. Although, people DO keep telling me to start charging… hmm…

Lasia (pronounced “Lasha”)
A born people-person, Lasia loves her work as a destination wedding specialist. She easily shares the enthusiasm of others and genuinely cares about helping beachside brides have the destination wedding of their dreams. Some of her favourite aspects include collaborating with the bride and groom and interacting with the wedding guests.
Lasia has been dealing with groups for most of her career. Prior to Weddings By Oceans, she was with Conquest Vacations as the Ontario Sales Representative. She has also worked with Luxe Destination Weddings and Signature Vacations.
While living in Cancun, Lasia was the Wedding Coordinator for First Choice Weddings, a UK based tour operator.
