Would you buy a car from someone who doesn’t drive? Of course not. So when choosing a destination wedding (one of the most important days of your life!), it’s a good idea to book with someone who not only travels often, but who also personally visits the places they recommend.
At Weddings By Oceans, all of our destination wedding specialists are well-travelled, especially in the Caribbean and Mexico.
Actually, right now we’re in Punta Cana staying at the Majestic Colonial/Elegance while we take care of over 140 guests in 2 wedding groups. We’re also visiting 16 other properties to conduct site inspections; something we like to do annually, at minimum.
Additionally, our Head Cyber Maid of Honour and owner of Weddings By Oceans, Megan McWhinnie-Crouse, just celebrated her 24th year in the travel industry on April 12th, 2010!
We travel extensively, not only because we love it, but because we want to stay up-to-date with all the properties we recommend for our Beachside Brides & Grooms. It’s part of our job as destination wedding specialists to make certain the hotels we suggest are maintaining conditions up to our standards.
So where have we been? For starters, here’s a list of places we’ve visited for FAM trips and holidays in the past year alone:
- Mayan Riviera, Mexico – Bahia Principe Coba, April 2010. (Dora)
- Miami & Fort Lauderdale, U.S.A. – cruise inspections, March 2010. (Megan)
